In jeder Diele steckt ein Stück Heimatverbundenheit und die Wertschätzung alter Traditionen in der Holzbearbeitung. Über die Generationen hinaus haben sich in den verschiedensten Gegenden unterschiedliche Handschriften und besondere Charakteristiken herausgestellt. Diese Techniken nehmen wir auf und beleben siemit unseren eigenen Erfahrungen und der Sicht eines Holz-Designers aus dem 21. Jahrhundert. There is a sense of local identity and an appreciation for old woodworking traditions in every single board. Over the generations, various techniques and special characteristics have developed in different regions. We apply these techniques in combination with our own experience and the vision of a wood designer from the 21st century. Live like the Royal Family: Our grand planks are named after the English royal dynasties or are reminiscent of famous scenes from the world of the royal family. The impressive 26 centimetres width and 2.20 metres length make our extra wide planks worthy of their name. This format shows the character of the surface to its best advantage. A four-sided micro-bevel ensures each plank is subtly distinguished from the next and gives the floor a spacious appearance. Dadurch entsteht in der Mitte jeder Diele eine leichte Erhöhung, die mit der Hand erfahrbar wird. Das Auge nimmt dies nur mit dem Blick gegen das Licht wahr. Trotz der starken Bürstung fühlt sich die Oberfläche samtweich an. Die Finish-Oberflächenbearbeitung durch eine spezielle Öl-Wachs-Emulsion sorgt für eine milde Aufhellung an den richtigen Stellen. There are a number of complex steps required to give the Cornwall its special planed look. This process also creates a slightly raised area in the middle of each board that can be felt with your hand, but which is only apparent to the eye when seen against the light. Despite the heavy brushing, the surface feels velvety soft. The final surface finish comprising an oil-wax emulsion creates slightly brighter areas at the right points. Art.-Nr. The Kent is a modern oak floor that still retains its original feel. Tool marks have been deliberately left at specific places on the boards, such as next to knots, and thanks to the many years of experience and trained eye of the master craftsman, make this floor look so authentic. The timeless grey-beige colour is combined here with a strong brushed look to create a very calm and harmonious pattern with few knots. The existing knots are slightly refined . The water-based white-wash treatment lends our Devon its unique light colour. To achieve this effect, the experienced “washer” manually massages each separate board with extra-soft cotton cloths before the boards are sent to mature in the ‘drying room’ where they remain for several days. Once dry, the floor is given its finish - an extra matt coating for protection and easy maintenance.

So sind hier bewusst die Spuren der Säge beibehalten und vereinzelnd sind Wassermarken, welche auch bei der natürlichen Trocknung von Holz entstehen, im Bodenbild zu finden. All diese Elemente machen die Oak Somerset zu einem authentischen Boden mit Charakter. The particularly eye-catching feature of the Somerset is the play of colours between the boards. This surface is consistently modern-rustic. The saw marks have been deliberately left to show on the floor, as have some water stains that are created when the wood dries naturally. All these elements make the Oak Somerset an authentic floor with plenty of character.

Durch mehrmaliges Ölen unter Hinzufügen von Farbpigmenten wird der raue Charakter im finalen Handwerksschritt noch einmal gekrönt. Yorkshire Oak is one of the most traditional planks in the Shire Landscapes collection. Showing its natural character with a strong emphasis on its wood structure. With great attention to detail, the soft parts of the wood are worked out of the pores to create a gentle transition in the structures. The rough character is perfected in the final handcrafted step by repeated oiling with the addition of colour pigments.

Whilst siblings share common traits, they also have their own special quirks. The Docklands is the lighter variant of the Covent Garden and shares almost all processing steps. Overall, the floor appears to have a lighter colour and contains various water stains that are created during the natural drying process.

It takes years of experience to change the colour of the wood in specific heat treatment processes. We have brought our experience to bear on the Smithfield and created a colour that, in combination with the characteristic wood grain, produces a fantastic pattern. The depressions in the wood are gently smoothed and allow easy cleaning. A very matt surface coat is applied as the finish on the floor to allow the impressive colour to show to its full effect.

There are several steps that go into creating the impressive look of our Notting Hill. But before we begin, we first select only the most suitable boards from our wood stocks. Once selected, each board is gently planed and then a transparent white oil is applied. The final result is one of our best floors in the London Calling collection. A friendly beige-brown real wood floor that can be combined with almost any interior design.

Diesen Effekt stellen wir im Produkt dar und arbeiten jede Stelle sorgfältig nach, indem wir händisch die Risse absoften. The Stuart is a striking and rather rustic-looking oak floor. Particularly eye- catching are the cracks in the surface and the bold structure. Tension cracks are created when the wood expands and contracts in the natural drying process. We deliberately show this effect in the product and carefully refine each one manually to soften the cracks.

The floor is coloured through to the core in a special procedure. This is how the Armstrong gets its special colour intensity. The surface is hand-scraped, brushed and then a white oil is applied to create a distinctive and unique floor.

Ein fließendes Bodenbild mit ruhiger Sortierung, geringem Astanteil und ohne Rissbildung. Im Einklang dazu erhält der Boden eine sanfte Hobelung mit leichten Hügeln und Tälern. Um den natürlichen Charakter zu unterstreichen, ist die Farbe bewusst naturbelassen und erhält aus gleichem Grund auch eine farblose Ölung. In contrast to the Stuart, the Salisbury is calm and relaxed. A flowing floor pattern with a calm grade, few knots and no cracks. In harmony with this, the floor is gently planed and has slight undulations. To underscore the natural character, the colour has deliberately been left natural, which is why a transparent oil is also applied.

Hier vereinen sich gleich mehrere unserer Spezialitäten zu einem Produkt. Nach einer leichten Räucherung wird das Holz stark mit der Hand gebürstet. Einmal abgeschlossen, folgt dann die „White-Wash“-Behandlung. Anders als üblich wird nach der Lasur allerdings fast alles von der Farbe wieder aufgenommen, so dass nur an wenigen Stellen leichte weiße Farbstellungen wieder auftreten. Zum Abschluss tragen wir eine schützende, leicht weiße Ölung auf. Many work steps are necessary to lend the Oak Lancaster its special look. Once this has been completed, the wood undergoes a white-wash treatment. In contrast to the normal process, after the coating has been applied almost all of the colour is reabsorbed so that there are only a few slightly white areas left. Finally, we apply a protective transparent white oil.
